COVID takes life of fourth patient this month
(CNS): An unvaccinated patient on the Sister Islands with severe comorbidities has become the fourth person this month to die after contracting COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Wellness confirmed Friday. Public Health is no longer reporting active cases or details about infection levels but is expected to release the now monthly Public Health Spotlight next week detailing hospital admissions. Nevertheless, the virus continues to spread throughout the community with dozens of people are believed to be unwell. Minister André Ebanks is the latest senior official to be infected.
Interim Chief Medical Officer Dr Autilia Newton noted that this was the fourth COVID-related death reported in the month of September and said it is important that residents are vaccinated and boosted, especially the elderly and immunocompromised.
“It is imperative that we continue to use all the resources at our disposal to protect ourselves and our loved one from severe illness and death from COVID-19, and our best resource continues to be the vaccine,” Dr Newton said. “Research has shown us that the two doses of the vaccination in conjunction with the recommended booster doses will keep people out of the hospital, so I stress once again: get vaccinated and boosted.”

I am vaccinated or WAS vaccinated but my immunity is out along with many. Read it up. This is why we taking boosters because vaccine immunity last only 6 months.

Covid is a disease that finds your weakness and exploit it. 9,999,999 people who did not come down with Covid would have lived longer had they not contracted covid.
That said they may have had an underlying condition but the question is this. How much longer would they have lived if not for covid?

If a person came in with a heart attack and died then they discovered he had covid AFTER is that a “with” for you? Because I would argue Covid could well have contributed to the heart attack by weakening the patient.
You see when I think of your comment I think it silly. Its like you think Covid is like a specific condition like a heart attack or cancer when Covid actually attacks the body. Most who die when evaluated Covid is found throughout the body even in the brain. What you die of is where you are weakest.

In Denmark under 50s can’t get the covid “vaccine” anymore unless they have a medical exemption (both primary and boosters). Because the gov there is sane and follows the data.

@5:46pm..You have no compassion or understanding…My brother died from covid. He was a young 31 years old with all of his life in front of him, no comorbidities and was in the best shape of his life. We live in St. Petersburg,FL where Trump is very influential. He followed Trump to his grave believing everything he said and refused to get vaccinated even though Trump himself was vaccinated. He even laughed at and made fun of us, the rest of his family saying that we were going to die from taking the vaccine. He refused to wear a mask and one Wednesday night he was having a party on his boat with a bunch of his friends who were of the same ilk as you believing that the pandemic was a hoax and the vaccine was some sort of tracking device by the government. He woke up the next morning feeling terrible to the point where he reached out for help and we arranged through 911 take him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with covid. Even in his sickness he would let go of the stupid belief that covid wasn’t anymore than the flu and tweeted and posted photos of him in the hospital telling everyone that he was going to beat it and would be out in a few days. He died early that Saturday morning, just 3 days after he contracted the virus. We never got the chance to say goodbye or to even say “I love you” before he passed.
So when I hear people like you making these horrific and stupid claims, it makes me so angry. Because of people like you perpetrating all of these false arguments that you cannot substantiate and causing other people to believe you, my handsome brother is dead today. My parents have never really recovered from the shock, pain and loss. No parent should have to bury their child.
You Trumpers and Qanons need to stop the foolishness. Over a million people died in the US alone from covid and many more would have, save for the vaccine.
Thank God that Cayman is an island and you were able to contain it and for the longest time even protected those who refused to get vaccinated. No one will ever know if this person died specifically from covid but I am sure that covid was what helped them to their grave.

There are people who unfortunately are not able to take the vaccine due underlying medical conditions. We are ridiculed at, discriminated against both in the work and open places. I am aware there people whom are against the vaccines and I get they placed the community at risk but for crying out loud have some sympathy for those that would take the vaccine if they could.

There are persons in our community who have suffered severe adverse reactions to the first or second dose of the vaccine. They are very rare – but it does not help that the medical authorities appear to refuse to acknowledge their existence. The public deserve the information. ALL of it. Withholding some of it just builds distrust and increases the power of the anti-vac rhetoric.
