Blue Toyota Highlander the same make, model and year as the stolen vehicle

(CNS): Police are asking the public to help them find a stolen SUV. The blue Toyota Highlander, registration 159 228, was stolen sometime between 10pm on Tuesday night, 4 October, and about 7:30am on Wednesday morning, police said. The car was taken by the thieves from the car park of an apartment complex on South Sound Road in the vicinity of George Hicks Memorial Church. Stolen cars are often used in crimes, so the RCIPS is keen to track the vehicle as soon as possible.

Police are asking that anyone who has any information about this incident or has seen this vehicle anywhere on the island to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or the Confidential RCIPS Tip Line at 949-7777. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS), or online here.

Was this car locked? If so, did it not have a built in alarm (disabling device) like most modern cars? If if was not locked then I cannot bother to assist looking.

I was thinking of building my house without a garage, because who uses them nowadays. With all these thefts going on – my transportation was stolen from home a month ago and reported – I may just have to reconsider my plans. These losers need to get a life, find honest work and stop frustrating everyone.

I don’t understand why people don’t build garage as I love garage as it is extra storage and keep vehicle safe at night also at the hurricane season. When I am looking for a house to buy…number one is must have a garage so people who are selling house without garage are loser.

My car was stolen weeks ago… No picture in the news, no follow up nothing… Wonder who these latest car victims are…

Me too. No problem with doing it but do it for all. Odd one, but hopefully a positive community policing initiative, or something like that….

I’ll start looking right after you tell me who the owner is who rates a police notice in multiple news outlets for just a stolen car.

This is my car and the color blue is incorrect. It is more of a gray/blue. See this link for the correct color. Can you please update the photo? http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Toyota_Highlander/2007/

I hope you have better luck with the police than I did. An officer came to see me the morning my boat was stolen. He called 2 days later to ask if he could come by that evening to get more details. He never showed up.
