Man wounded in another West Bay shooting
(CNS): Police are investigating yet another incident of gun violence after two men were shot at off Bankers Road in West Bay during the early hours of Sunday morning. A report of shots being fired was made to 911 around 3am, and when officers and emergency services arrived they found one of the men had been wounded in the leg while the other appeared unhurt. No other details of the incident have been released and no one has been arrested.
Both men were taken to hospital, where the wounded man remains receiving treatment. He is the second man to be shot in the district this month after a 23-year-old man was shot in the pelvis on 10 September near to the currently closed West Bay Police Station.
There has been a significant increase in gun violence this year, in which around a dozen people have been wounded and three men killed in several separate shootings in West Bay and George Town. So far only one man has been charged in connection with any of the shootings.
No one has been charged in connection with a shooting on 1 July, when four men were shot on Martin Drive. Mark Andre Ebanks was killed at the scene and Eldon Charles Walton (55) died a few days later.
Detectives are encouraging anyone with information about this latest shooting to call the Major Incident Room at 649-5430.

What do you accomplish by posting bs like this? Just because there is an opportunity to advertise that you’re a clown, doesn’t mean you should jump at it. Feel free to stfu if you don’t have something constructive to add.
CIG can only control the it’s people during a pandemic. Crime, dangerous driving or traffic safety are difficult for them.
I certainly do think they do a shiddy job. Where are the cops when you need them? Where do they hang out? It seems that a lot of Caymanians think driving under the influence of ganja or alcohol is O.K. It isn’t! Is there a quick test to detect the presence of ganja in the blood system?
Ladies and gentlemen…. There is a remedy for this! Just make carrying an illegal weapon punishable by death. It will stop the gunman’s lawbreaking permanently! ISN’T THAT WHAT IS NEEDED?

I’d like to see CIG do a press conference every time there is a shooting.
What happened, what’s the stats/trends, what’s the plan, what measures are be done to reassure this gun violence stops.
Personally I find that much scarier than Covid.
How many Caymanians have died from covid this year? How many Caymanians have died from illegal guns in the same time?
