West Bay woman still critical after attack

(CNS): A West Bay woman who was badly injured following an altercation with her son remains in the hospital in critical condition, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service. The 32-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of trying to kill her, is currently in custody relating to a separate matter, police have confirmed. No charges regarding the attempted murder have yet been laid. The attack happened at the woman’s home on North West Point on 12 December between 11:00pm and midnight. She was found the next day after neighbors alerted the police, who found the badly injured victim.
