(CNS): An unidentified man sustained a serious but non-life-threatening stab wound in the early hours of Friday morning, police have said. The RCIPS is now investigating what happened before the wounded man turned up at an undisclosed business establishment on Eastern Avenue, injured and looking for help, at around 3am. The man was said to have been stabbed at a nearby bar, though again, police did not reveal the name of the bar.

The police and emergency services responded to a 911 call, and the man was transported to hospital. He has since been discharged.

Despite the lack of information about the location, the police are asking any witnesses who may have seen someone being stabbed at one of the bars on Eastern Avenue sometime before 3am to come forward.

Anyone with information can call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222. Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777 or the website. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to caymancrimestoppers.com.

so, the unnamed bar never had stabbings before? Yes “that” bar on Easter Avenue

Put your trust in RCIPS and you’ll most likely be on the next RIP list. The victim most likely ended up at Eastern Ave Rubis after been knifed at Bananas. Blue Marlin is pretty close too though but history suggests the former.

They ask for help 5 days later and we dont know where it happened. unbelievable

Police are asking witnesses to come forward, but naming the bar in which the incident took place? So they are not interested in witnesses that may have seen something other than the stabbing itself and who might not know that the bar they were in was the one in question? So ability to develop details on timeline, for example, or additional details that witnesses may not even know are relevant is not obtained. Why every other police force names a location and time range and asks anyone in the area to come forward even if they dont think they saw anything relevant. But not our world class RCIPS.

I suppose maybe they don’t know which bar the stabbing took place. you’re just as likely to get stabbed at any of the bars or other establishments on eastern Ave.

RCIPS, the only justifiable reason for not naming the bar, as yet, would be if it’s a repeat location for violence and matters are in hand to make it stop…permanently! Hmmm?

They may have well just posted an artist’s impression of a suspect with a paper bag on their head, two eye holes cut out.

People in Cayman should avoid involving them self in request like this from the police. If they wont even name the bar speaks volumes of how useless and unserious they are about crime and violence on island. Why would they be serious about my safety after? Its all madness!

Imagine, protecting the name of the bar is more important than giving accurate information that could aid in a crime being solved. we really do live in a simulation.
