Darrington Ebanks

(CNS): Police have opened a murder instigation after a West Bay man was found dead following reports of gunshots being fired in the early morning hours of Christmas Day. The RCIPS has confirmed that Darrington Ebanks (29) was found unresponsive at around 1:30am on Tuesday 25 December in the area of King Road and Florence Lane in the Boatswains Bay area of the district. A press release said the emergency services went to the location as a result of the 911 report about a gun being fired and found Ebanks unresponsive.

He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

As the police extended condolences to Ebanks’ family and members of the public who were affected by this loss, they appealed for any information about the killing, which is the fourth murder in Cayman in 2018.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Major Incident Room at 649-3008 or email rcipsmir@rcips.ky.

RIP in peace Darrington, those of us that knew you know the type of person you were there will always be the judges and in some cases the down right hateful people, you had your struggles like everyone else in life, but truth be told you always sought employment and tried to earn your own money and be independent, on that night you were doing what so many other people were doing just winding down and getting ready to enjoy the Christmas break, when it all went terribly wrong but you will always be remembered for who you were to those that knew you.

Darrington was never involved with no gangs or nothing..he had two small children he was taking care to make sure they were clothed and feed everyday so he had no time for that shit. he was a very humble young man trying to make a better life for himself and his kids..this nuisance that did this to him was very heartless,,wicked, cruel and sick..hope and pray to God he prays the price for doing such a senseless act..people of the cayman community needs to stop seeing things and not talking..we all needs to bring Cayman back to what it was before..i know that will be hard but,,by THE FULL GRACE OF GOD WE HOPE TO SEE A BETTER CAYMAN SOON..

I’m saying they could have found a better photo of the man. How are people upset by that? You need to pull your head out of your rectum before replying. If you look at most news stories from this area and that includes the US, black men shot usually are given a terrible photo used by the press. White men get better photos circulated. I’m trying to bring awareness to the unjustness but if you can’t understand that then you are part of the problem.

Let me just to make you all understand …Darrington was a very humble young man..was not involved in any gangs or nothing. he had two young boys growing up and he never wanted to be in no sort of badness for himself nor his two boys.. but I would say that’s whats wrong with the Cayman people today ..they just sit back see things and don’t try to help the police..what this nuisance did to darrington was heartless, wicked and cruel.. and he should pay the conseqences..

Its happens mostly only in black schools or schools with high populations of immigrants from the Caribbean or Central/South America, but nobody wants to say that…especially on the TV since cheap imported labor has made many so rich at the expense of the middle class.

Has anybody seen all the recent videos of riots on Kwanza Day, its gotten out of hand and hidden and unreported on purpose. The violence and hatred is so out of proportion. Good thing it is being documented with cell-phones and security cams all over the states.

It happens mostly in schools in impoverished areas, due to practices such as red lining, these areas happen to be comprised mainly of people of colour and poor immigrants. The 1% are who benefit most at the expense of the middle class…stop watching so much FOX news…

What are you? Fox News Cayman?

Another liberal who can only copy what Trump has accused liberals of being. He has made you chase your tail for some time now and all you have are generic comebacks. I guess all those cell phone videos from people not affiliated from network TV are starting to pile up. How much longer can some people fool the public, we know you cant fool all the people all the time.

My condolences to the Ebanks family on this tragic lost on a day like Christmas day , and remember that it could’ve happened to anyone .

Some people make your New Years resolution like I did in 1989 , NOT to DO , NOT to HANG AROUND WITH/IN THE COMPANY /FRIENDS that do DO . Remember the consequences of DRUGS and GUNS and YOURSELVES , and NO PARENT ENJOY LOOSING their CHILD to VIOLENCE. or loosing a child period.
