Elections Office opens late for voter ID access
(CNS): In the lead-up to the General Election, the Elections Office has extended its opening hours to allow voters greater opportunity to pick up their voter ID cards. Teams from the office were also at Foster’s Republix Saturday morning. Voters who already have a voter ID and haven’t changed their name or address don’t require a new one.
Voters who changed their registered names or address or became new voters between 2 October 2020 and 20 January 2021 will be able to get their ID from 1 April. While any form of official ID will be accepted to vote on Election Day, voters are encouraged to obtain a voter ID card.
Below are the extended hours for the Elections Office at 68 West Bay Road, Baytown Office Suites, George Town.
