Hospital opens test clinic to walk-ins
(CNS): With the return of COVID-19 community transmission to Grand Cayman, the need for people to test for the coronavirus has increased beyond those wanting to travel and front-line workers. Over the last few days Public Health has tested over 7,000 people in an effort to chase down the current outbreaks but they are now opening up testing to meet growing demand beyond immediate contacts of those who have contracted the virus.
People wanting to be tested for COVID-19 can now attend the walk-in testing clinic at the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 12pm. Though walk-ins are welcome, they are encouraged to book appointments online here.
Government issued ID and face masks are required at all health facilities. The clinic is in the space previously occupied by the Physiotherapy department, on the side of the hospital facing the Seventh Day Adventist Church, to the far left of A&E. Signage on the hospital campus will direct patients to the clinic.
This is in addition to the testing that is also available at the Doctors Hospital drive-through facility in George Town and the COVID-19 Testing & Information Centre at Camana Bay, which also caters to walk-ins. Testing is free at both HSA locations.

Man, so many complainers. I guess they believe that CNS stands for Complainers News Service.
I like so many people are tired of hearing about people refusing to get vaccinated for one reason or the other.
After all it’s your choice to get not get vaccinated for what ever reason
FOOD for THOUGHT
God Knows I don’t wish any thing on anyone but if you’re not vaccinated and get the Virus and give it to your family and your child come to you with difficulties breathing –
You take your child to the Hospital and the don’t have any space to accommodate your child – ” WHAT THEN ”
May I make a Suggestion if anyone who refuses to get Vaccinated and get the Virus please don’t go to any medical facility ” Just Stay HOME ” so that persons who deserve medical treatment can get that treatment

The plus of this: You know you have it after the free test
The negative: You catch it in the queue before your test from all the ant-vax non masked idiots panicking who want a lockdown
Makes total sense using a cayman no plan sort of plan to require cayman ID to get tested. Apparently all the new global citizens and long term visitors either can’t contract covid or can’t spread it. Fantasy island at its finest.
They said government issued. Which can mean a drivers licence from here. Or even another government for that matter.

No vaccinated person in their right mind would voluntarily submit to testing.
Why not? Because you are vaccinated doesn’t mean that you can not contract COVID-19.
Because we will not be illegally held hostage out of irrational fear.
Correct, it means I don’t need to know or care. Go get your shot and you can live your life too.
Super-spreader event. Let’s take all the people who think they may have Covid and put them in a room together in the building that also houses the most vulnerable in our society. Let’s have them meet with unvaccinated nursing staff and continue to pretend that cloth masks will protect you from an airborne virus. Just clean your hands and all will be fine.
This will not end well.
First, do no harm.
Did someone miss that part of medical school?
Why not outdoor remote testing to help reduce the threat of.contagion?
Yes outdoor testing is what should be done to prevent any further spread. If the private hospital can have drive then testing, why can’t HSA do that as well?
