(CNS): The police conducted a search and rescue operation at sea Friday off the coast of East End after a capsized boat was found some five miles offshore around 8:30am. Police received the report of the overturned vessel by an aircraft that was coming into land on Grand Cayman. Both the Joint Marine Unit and the RCIPS helicopter went out to the area south of East End and conducted a thorough search.

A police spokesperson said that the JMU was able to recover the boat but no one or any thing else was found in the water.

,who said a 50 cal couldn’t be something other than a machine gun , no one uses a sniper rifle for dozens of shots in a case like what I saw cowboy , if you can get to see the boat you will understand

Could this boat be that of the missing Caymanians?

The police need to start sharing more information with the public and stop expecting the public to tell them everything they know. A description and picture of the boat would be a good start.

that sounds like something from central or South America,, they love their 50 cal machine guns , or maybe some pissed off us coast guard, regardless once we get those types of boats we will be fine

They need someone to tell them to trace the serial number to find out where it was sold we can’t get those answers.

Boat was burnt to a crips and full of 50 cal bullet holes. Probably no serial number left.

        Is this true?

I am family to the two missing boaters and the police have not released on any information.

Can someone please confirm the colour of the boat or if you have a photo to please provide it.

However, the family is curious as to why they would ask person to call Crime Stoppers if they know anything.

If you do not have accurate and verifiable information please do not post.

Our family is distraught and want our loved ones home.

Please do not add insult to injury by posting false truths and malicious information. These boys mothers are going through hell, so are their children and loved ones. Just pray for their safe return. Edward is a start swimmer, so I’m praying that somehow they both made it to shore safely.
