First dose vaccine rate crawls up to 69%
(CNS): With an additional 55 people getting the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine over the last day the rate inched up slightly to 69%, according to the latest figure from public health officials. The national rate for both doses remains stalled at 64%, with 46,483 people having completed the full vaccination course. Meanwhile, the patient who had been hospitalized with COVID-19 has now been released and has returned to their own home.
The recovering patient remains the only symptomatic person among just three active cases of COVID-19 among those in isolation. There are 951 travellers quarantining either at home or at a government facility at the moment and there were no new cases of the coronavirus among those tested over the last day.

From CNN this afternoon – Pfizer booster is required for effectiveness against Delta variant
Pfizer Inc plans to ask US regulators to authorise a booster dose of its Covid-19 vaccine within the next month, Reuters reports.
The drugmaker’s top scientist said on Thursday, based on evidence of greater risk of reinfection six months after inoculation and due to the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant.
Pfizer Chief Scientific Officer Mikael Dolsten said the recently reported dip in the vaccine’s effectiveness in Israel was mostly due to infections in people who had been vaccinated in January or February.
The country’s health ministry said vaccine effectiveness in preventing both infection and symptomatic disease fell to 64% in June.
“The Pfizer vaccine is highly active against the Delta variant,” Dolsten said in an interview.
But after six months, he said, “there likely is the risk of reinfection as antibodies, as predicted, wane.”
Bingo. People will die, and we will have lockdowns, so we can have tourists who are unwilling to quarantine.
CNN has reported that waning antibodies and vax efficacy are profit-motivated theoreticals, floated by the pharmaceutical companies that are trying desperately to spin that narrative and create a lasting recurring revenue line of forever boosters. All the available data, including recent excellent and lasting protection data from Israel, do not yet support booster shots for anyone other than immune compromised, and CDC and FDA issued a rare joint statement relaying that fully vaccinated individuals with US-EUA vaccines, do not yet need a booster, even for Delta variant. What the planet needs, is global distribution, and more people filtering media and corporate bias and understanding the sense of getting fully vaccinated.
Iceland is over 65% vaccinated, allows borders to be open for those VACCINATED or already had covid, and you just need to take a PCR test upon arrival. No Quarantine. They have under 10 cases. Have been open for months. Proof this works.
Stop fearing covid and get on with your lives. I had it in March before being vaccinated and I’m OKK. If you are vaccinated then you have nothing to fear because changes of you dying are SO SO SO slim!!! What is the point of a VACCINE if you can’t go on with your LIFE? It will be around for a LONG time. People need to move on with their lives and stop living in a fear bubble.
Iceland has very strict specifications on the vaccination proof they require. Ours, and many others, do not qualify. Only certificates that Iceland can verify are accepted – same as what is being done in Cayman.
https://www.landlaeknir.is/um-embaettid/greinar/grein/item44162/Certificate-of-vaccination-against-COVID-19-accepted-at-the-border
I visited Iceland end of May (as I’m a US citizen with Pfizer vaccine) and my US vaccine card was OK. Same for my party of 8.
Iceland is doing well but your information on infection rates etc is rubbish. If anybody is interested in the actual data provided by the Icelandic government it is here:
https://www.covid.is/data-older
Actually my info on infection rate is not rubbish. I was correct, please see the domestic infection at less than 10… https://www.covid.is/data
Just curious about how the “open the borders whatever the cost folks” value other people’s health and lives? Is it 2 dead is OK if I get to go shopping in Miami for the weekend or is it more like 5 dead or 10 dead?
I’d say 10.
Why would you place the blame on those who are vaccinated? If not, wouldn’t your question be better asked why those who freely choose no vaccinate place themselves at risk?
I just find it sickening that all travel to most people here is “shopping in Miami”. I have not seen my family for nearly 2 years now. My sister has gotten married and nearly about to have her second child. I now have a brother in law I’ve never met in person and a nephew about to be born. So yea, I’d love to travel but for things more important than “shopping in Miami”. We need more flights Wayne!
The part of the population that wants the vaccine AND can get to the airport or Camana Bay during the limited hours that those locations are open have been vaccinated already – that is why the numbers are low. It is irrational for the government to keep offering the vaccines in the same 2 places during hours when people can’t get to those places.
There are huge numbers of people who can’t get to the 2 George Town locations when they are open particularly with the airport closed for a long lunch period. If the government was serious they would take the vaccines to the districts where the people requiring vaccinations are.
“There are huge numbers of people who can’t get to the 2 George Town locations when they are open particularly with the airport closed for a long lunch period”
From the HSA website:
“If somebody has been unable to attend the clinics they should call the ‘Flu Hotline on 1-800-534-8600 or 345-925-6327 or their local HSA District Health Centre to arrange for a vaccine to be given in their home.”
This is not well advertised. Many people I know don’t have computers and are not aware of this option. Government should be advertising this possibility on the radio and by every other means. Put notices in the buses that people use to get to work. Put notices at job sites. For people with access to social media spread that information that way too.
So how do those people know about the Stipend or fill out the form?
CNS – would you be able to put this information about the number to call for home vaccination on your link to the Vaccination Schedule whenever you update it. I think that might help quite a few people.
CNS: OK , I’ll see if I can find that and add it to the info.
Total B.S.
HSA offers transport for those that don’t have it.
If people want the vaccine they would go get it , stop making excuses .
For Canadians who may feel left out with the current focus on what is happening in the US and the UK with re-opening –
https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/the-lambda-covid-19-variant-is-now-spreading-in-canada-here-s-what-you-need-to-know-1.6093411
Thanks for sharing. Please note this section from your article:
“ Despite its multiple mutations, there’s early evidence that yes, vaccines likely protect you from getting infected by lambda.
A recent U.S. lab-based study — which was published online, but has not yet been peer-reviewed — suggests that the “vaccines in current use will remain protective against the lambda variant and that monoclonal antibody therapy will remain effective.”
But the WHO stressed that further studies are still needed to “validate the continued effectiveness of vaccines.”
Chow stressed the need for Canadians to keep getting vaccinated to protect themselves as best as possible.”
Be careful to manually debias the heavily politically-insulating spin of the pro-government, tabloid-grade, state-owned socialist media provider. They are in the frequent habit of parroting federal lies that play to protect legacies and re-elections. Canada’s fiascos on COVID response, policy gaffs, and delayed vaccine deployment have literally killed tens of thousands of Canadians and should not be the template for any other country, certainly not a first world one.
Talking of crawling, when are we going to get the plan?. Also how many vaccines do we have at present and how many are arriving in the next shipment?.
Why is the airport vaccination site closed every Monday and also closed for an hour and a half at lunch time. That makes it hard for those of us that work to get vaccinated.
I know the Camana Bay site is open at lunch time but parking there is very hard to find.
Plenty of parking over at Foster’s if you can manage a 4 minute walk.
2 minutes max
There are so many excuses in that comment. You’ve had many months to get your ass to the jab and you’ve not done it yet, that’s your fault.
Right – a spokesperson for the entitled ‘let them eat cake’ faction.
As the OP, I’m not going to disagree. Let them.
They are giving away cakes now? Time for me to get the jab!
Why is there only 1 vaccination clinic – and that one only 4 hours one evening for West Bay in the entire month of July???
Why is there only 1 vaccination clinic – and that one only 4 hours one evening for East End in the entire month of July???
Why is there only 1 vaccination clinic – and that one only 4 hours one evening for Bodden Town in the entire month of July???
Why are there no vaccination clinics for North Side, Savannah, Newlands, Prospect, etc. in the entire month of July???
I thought the HSA was supposed to be trying to get vaccines out to people.
Because we live on a small island if you can’t figure out a way to get yourself to the vaccine then you clearly didn’t want it in the first place.
A%%hole! Try getting to a clinic in GT when you work 7 -7 Monday to Saturday in North Side.
Okay, how about you call HSA since they will make arrangements for you. But you’d rather make up how much you work and complain on CNS. Lovely.
They have had plenty of clinics over the past few months in Bodden town, north side, east end, prospect, and on and on, many went until 9 pm.. You obviously weren’t paying attention. Or you are just trying to stir the 💩💩
UK’s new health secretary says Covid cases are expected to surge once restrictions are ended according to BBC news
“Government braced for a surge in coronavirus cases
As the UK passes the five million mark for coronavirus cases confirmed through a positive test the government is braced for a surge in new infections after restrictions are eased in England – likely to be on 19 July.
Earlier this week Health Secretary Sajid Javid said new coronavirus cases “could go as high as 100,000” per day, after social distancing rules end.”
And yet they are consciously lowering the restrictions, including quarantine, despite expecting a surge in cases as a consequence. Because they have decided that the ongoing impact of restrictions on the economy and peoples mental health outweighs the health risks, particularly given they have nearly 70% of the population vaccinated and results to date have shown that whilst infection rates may go up significantly, death and serious hospitalization rates dont follow suit. Also factored in was the realization that the virus isn’t going to go away, so itsa matter of when you relax restrictions rather than if, and that relaxing them in winter would lead to even greater spike.
UK is grasping the nettle. here, we are going for the ostrich approach.
A better analogy than grasping a nettle would be pulling the pin on a hand grenade, and throwing away the pin.
That’s actually a terrible analogy. Pulling the pin out doesn’t start the detonation process – releasing the handle does – you need to take a further. conscious step – throw or drop the grenade.
You are right – the UK has in effect pulled the pin – thrown it away – and released the handle while loudly proclaiming that everything will be fine for the survivors.
Or maybe we’ve thrown away the pin by not having any sort of reopening strategy.
Perhaps the reasoning has more to do with the interests of party donors rather than the general public?
Apart from the myth referred to – Ostriches have been around for hundreds of thousands of years – longer than nettle graspers.
They have had plenty of clinics over the past few months in Bodden town, north side, east end, prospect, and on and on, many went until 9 pm.. You obviously weren’t paying attention. Or you are just trying to stir the 💩💩
If the government actually wanted the vaccination rate to increase they would set up mobile units going once a week to every district and community outside GT. The district vaccination drives were huge successes. That seems to be why the government has made them much less frequent.
These are still taking place…check the schedule and pick your district (this is month 6 of the vaccine drive…surely…)
https://www.hsa.ky/public-health/coronavirus/
On the link provided it states that there are going to be only 3 clinics outside of GT in the entire month of July and those are evening clinics. There is now only 1 vaccination clinic on one evening at only 1 location in each of WB, EE, and BT during July. No clinic is offered in NS.
Where are the clinics in Savannah, Newlands, Prospect and other areas where many thousands live? Open the schools or a church in the evening and get people vaccinated!!!
So much for the US opening without Covid consequences
Headline story on CNN website this morning –
“Twenty-four states have seen an uptick of at least 10% in Covid-19 cases over the past week, Johns Hopkins University data shows, as health experts and the federal government keep pressing for more people to get vaccinated.
The rapid spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus has only ratcheted up the pressure.
That variant, first identified in India, accounted for 51.7% of all new Covid-19 infections in the country over the two weeks that ended Saturday, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has estimated.
“We should think about the Delta variant as the 2020 version of Covid-19 on steroids,” Andy Slavitt, a former senior adviser to Joe Biden’s Covid Response Team, told CNN on Wednesday. “It’s twice as infectious. “
Also note that it is spreading amongst the unvaccinated and they have a lower vaccination percentage than us.
We have more than 30% not vaccinated. That is massive opportunity for the Delta variant to spread.
And we have 90% of the most vulnerable vaccinated. People have made their choice. Open the field hospital and let the rest of us get on with life.
So your approach is open the field hospital – expose the nurses doctors and other hospital staff to the Delta variant knowing that 5 – 6 % of them will become seriously ill, so you can sell T-shirts to the tourists who won’t show up anyway.
or simply take the jab……
My family and others (50 year olds and 20 year olds) got exposed to the Delta variant – son and his GF infected. Family and GF started on the ivermectin – 7 days fever, headache, fatigue, cough for my son (his GF only the mildest of symptoms – hardly sick at all). The other exposed adults (50+) had it a little rougher they didn’t take the ivermectin. In my house, me and my spouse took it at the first confirmation of the CV. Neither of us got sick, and we don’t wear masks, or isolate from each other- we are just here taking care of my son. Just living like always. And none of those exposed were vaccinated – me and my spouse aren’t vaccinated either. So, to update my previous posts – Ivermectin appears to work to prevent the illness if exposed to it, and it will lessen the symptoms of the CV if you do get it. This is other round of personal exposure to the CV that we have had to deal with.
It is almost bad enough to make me want to get the emergency vaccine – but I will wait a while longer. I am waiting to see if everyone vaccinated starts walking sideways.
So, more good news if you can’t take the vaccine. The treatments do appear to work really well – if started soon.
Unverified anecdotes may be well intentioned but no rational person would make a decision based on them.
Latest from the CDC
Delta variant causes more than 50% of new Covid cases in the US
Pfizer is 94% effective at preventing hospitalization which is excellent. Nevertheless, 6% contracting the new strain may end up in hospital or worse.
https://www.businessinsider.com/cdc-delta-variant-more-than-half-cases-us-2021-7
But it’s 99% affective against death.
The current plan has been 100% effective against death caused by locally acquired Covid. Seems better for the 1% who would have otherwise died.
With every case there are factors that are beyond just covid. I’ll take my chance.
12:52 Not proven.
From the BBC this morning for all those saying the UK is fully open without Covid consequences –
“England Covid infection rates at highest level since February
Covid infection rates across all regions of England are at their highest level since at least February, according to Public Health England’s latest surveillance report.
The highest case rate is being seen in north-east England, with 613.4 cases per 100,000 people in the week to 4 July.
It is the highest figure for the region since like for like figures began in the summer of last year, as mass testing was rolled out across the country.
Meanwhile, all the other regions are seeing their highest rate since late January or early February – with the exception of Yorkshire and the Humber where the rate is the highest since mid-November last year.”
Irrelevant. How may hospitalised? How many dead?
Not irrelevant. Hospitalisation and death numbers lag infection numbers as you would know if you had paid attention. We will get hospitalisation and death numbers in relation to people getting infected now in about 4 – 8 weeks.
Nearly 70% is a great vaccine percentage rate to have. People are going to get infected with Covid. Most of those people will be absolutely fine, many won’t even have symptoms at all. Some will feel pretty unwell and some will end up in hospital and very sadly some will die but this is what happens with viruses, along with flu and other respiratory diseases which we have been used to year on year. The media, the politicians and the people are waking up to this fact. We have had the vaccine roll out. This is our “armour”. Time to live with Covid, move forward and open up.
You are irrelevant.
Not really – so far the government is doing exactly what I and all other sensible people want.
But hospitalizations and deaths remain very, very low, and are only concentrated amongst the unvaccinated.
Not much point in reporting “cases”; it is hospitalizations and deaths that you should focus on.
Hospitalizations and deaths will follow over the coming weeks as surely as night follows day.
No they won’t
Yes they will. Meet me here on CNS in a few weeks so I can say told you so.
Wait a few weeks – that is the lag time for death rates to go up. There is already a name for what is coming – ‘the own goal’
CNS – maybe we should have a poll to guide the politicians. The question would be: “How many people are you prepared to die so that you can have a holiday/shop overseas – 0, 5, 10, 20, more than 20.
I am vaccinated and have family attending school overseas that have been unable to get to Cayman despite being vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine overseas. I would love to see them but despite that for me the answer to the above question would be 0.
Covid-19 will become an endemic disease with the virus circulating globally forever in some manner (similar to influenza and the common cold, which is another coronavirus).
So are you prepared for closure permanently?
It’s already endemic. Pandemic was over months ago.
You don’t seem to understand the concept of a pandemic. Globally the number of cases – and the potential for new more deadly variants – is increasing week on week and has done so for the past 18 months.
I am prepared for closure until Cayman reaches the level of immunity required for ‘herd immunity’.
What if that never happens?
Already reached
12:22 Stop spreading bullshit. It has not, hence by borders remain CLOSED
All of Caymans shootings have taken place at night. According to your logic you would be happy to be subject to a nighttime curfew imposed to stop the shootings. Even though you are unlikely to be a participant, the measure would reduce or eliminate deaths, and you would equate lifting the curfew to allowing those deaths to occur. God forbid you could avoid those deaths by some other mean – like vaccination in Covids case.
Re-opening is a deeply divisive subject. The best thing for government to do is to have a formal referendum on any re-opening plan so that the people can indicate their preferences.
Curious as to why those disagreeing with the suggestion do not want to see a referendum.
Maybe due to the length of time that would take? 1 year, 2 years?
Presumably because only registered Caymanians would participate in a referendum. The government’s position on the border is, in my opinion, quite a different scenario from a regular political policy.
There is an argument that the border closure may be seen as disproportionately impacting those with overseas roots. Also, what proportion of registered voters work for the civil service, have received full salaries throughout, and therefore are perhaps happier than most to retain the status quo?
Well said!
Some things are not suitable for determination based on popularity.
Human rights and public health, by way of examples.
Decisions based on sound public health policy is what we have but there is a braying bunch – at least on CNS – that seems discontent. A non-binding referendum would probably reassure our political class that they are on the right track.
Or instead of lining up for a referendum, head to ORIA or Camana Bay and get the jab!
While the government waits for however long it takes to get to 80 percent vaccination rate, they need to allow Cayman Airways to add more Repatriation flights.
They did not post a repatriation flight schedule for August and it was sold out in an opaque process, with no transparency.
There are teachers that need to come on island to teach our children during the new school year. Parents bringing students to school and coming back home and the list goes on and on!
PACT Government if you are reading this, ADD MORE REPATRIATION FLIGHTS PLEASE!
I agree, PLEASE, PLEASE allow more flights for residents.
It is so unfair and stressful that everything has been completely sold out for the summer for several weeks.
It is only unfair if your reason for travel is essential (I include seeing family for the first time in a year as essential).
And more shopping and partying left to do
The people in the hospital in the US now with Covid are those that are NOT vaccinated.
Covid numbers in the US are the lowest since March 2020.
Vaccinations work!
Open the borders to those vaccinated. Travel in and out to ONLY those vaccinated.
Stop the madness!
Natural selection is playing out nicely.
That would be definitely true if idiots could only infect other idiots.
The martyrs
The people saying that lots of other countries have opened without consequences are like people watching someone fall off a building 30 stories up onto solid concrete below. As the person falling passes the first 10 stories on the way down they all yell – look at that – he is fine – there are no consequences to falling off a building 30 stories high.
The UK and the US in particular are heading towards disaster between now and the end of September.
What a load of XXXX. 95% of the serious Covid cases in the US in June were unvaccinated individuals, according to Dr. Fauci.
People have to decide whether they want to get immunity through vaccination (the easy way) or natural infection (the hard way). If you are unvaccinated or have not been naturally infected, this virus will eventually find you.
many states have vaccination rates of 35% or less. Opening there will bring disaster – take a look at what is happening in Missouri, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas and elsewhere.
Again, natural selection.
Red states….
You realize the entire time this “it’s coming” cry has been going on the numbers have been dropping. First it was going to be a second wave, then the winter flu/Covid wave, then a Christmas wave, then the third wave……. I think we are on the goodbye wave.
Countries that are stupidly opening now will be overwhelmed by the Delta and Lambda variants by September. The only country that has safely opened is Gibraltar which opened once they had a 95% vaccination rate. Look at what is happening in BVI.
This will never end if we continue to fight an unwinable war.
Surrender and let the virus kill and cripple people.
Sarcasm I hope.
But blinkered sarcasm – open and let the virus kill and cripple those that didn’t get vaccinated may be more accurate.
12:23 You are a disgusting individual
You’d have a point if BVI was 95% vaccinated!
BVI has 31% vaccination rate.
With a shitty vaccine.
If you are fine having your travel freedoms restricted, good for you. And the inability of family and friends to visit.
But others don’t and we are out of a public health emergency so we cant keep this up forever.
You can travel…You can quarantine…and so can your family visiting you.Get over yourself!
Can you please find me an outgoing and incoming flight on Cayman Airways this summer?? They have been sold out for weeks and the government refuses to allow more flights or other airlines (other than the sold out BA flights).
There is actually no availability on Cayman Airways for the next couple of months.
Rubbish!
Cayman is a great place to be right now, loving the less crowded diving and sandbar. The economy is just fine for the majority of people. Buying and selling very active. For those that don’t like being island bound they can consider relocating. I’m fine with the borders closed for as long as necessary. Many on the stipend have found other work and still getting the stipend. Where else does that happen. People need to just be happy with what we have here instead of complaining they can’t go on vacation or shopping. Business travel has been affected worldwide and less of it takes place now anyway you look at it. Down vote all you like, we are safe!
The economy is in a deep pile of doo doo, PACT is simply piling it higher.
Not true. 95% of the economy is doing very well. The 5% that is not are demanding re-opening no matter the costs.
Hemorrhaging tens of millions of dollars a month is hardly “doing well”.
Except that it isn’t.
Sure!
And countries that opened almost a year ago are doing fine, Minimal cases and the best tourist season in record.
If you had a pair leave your bubble and come see for yourself!
Interesting – please provide links to info on countries that have opened for a year and are having record tourist seasons – everything I am finding says the opposite.
There are no links – the comment was nonsense.
OK – https://turksandcaicostourism.com/turks-and-caicos-islands-issued-a-level-1-notice-from-the-cdc/
Over 70% occupancy in April. And the latest T&C Covid stats sow o infections in the last week, and in the week before. Deaths have remained unchanged in ages; total fatality rate is 0.7%.
70% is their best season ever as claimed in the original post???
Try 35% to 40%.
If the economy is fine with the borders closed, then CIG should just add more flights. People are willing to do the five day quarantine. But they won’t do that because then they don’t have their captive customers which is the only thing keeping the local economy going at all.
Well la de da and good for you. For the rest of us this island is now a prison. Lots of us want to see loved ones that we’ve been separated from for years now…
and we are happy for others to pay the price of our travel.
Why aren’t they vaccinated?
Well boo hoo, that was a choice you made, live with it!
Amen!!!
We have it so good right now,
Spot the Civil Servant
What a selfish statement and a slap in the face to those of us that are hurting economically because of the border closure and lack of a reopening plan. I hope that you are a troll.
No surprise here. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink…unless it’s on a work permit Open up already!
Perspective: the virus (regardless of how it got here) is here to change us. Keeping the borders closed – causing insanity – he island remains COVID free. The alternative is vaccinate as many and hope the virus will disappear. This is a gamble.
To change is quite a task as we have to start with the thought process and to change how we think, how we were raised, to reprogram that which is programmed into us to be able to see what is, what was, and if you are gifted, what is to come. The government is on the right path.
5:06am, if complete destruction of livelihood for us is the goal, then government is on the right path.
If the goal is to learn to live safely in a world that will always have Covid, they’re not only NOT on the right path they’re hopelessly lost in the woods and not even trying to find a path.
It’s best to loose that, which we can recover, if you appreciate life.
9:00am, first, the word you’re looking for is “lose” not “loose”.
More importantly, your mentality about Covid is so stunted. I fully appreciate life but more so I fully appreciate LIVING!!!!!! This is a very restricted life and we deserve better.
The emergency stage of the pandemic is over due to effective vaccines. The virus will never be gone so we have to live with it. This is easily done.
Get your vaccine, ditch your paranoia, and LIVE!!!!!!
America fully open
U.K. fully open (next week)
Cayman open 2023
I’m ok with that actually
UK is about to be overwhelmed with the Delta variant between now and September as a result of their nonsensical incompatible with science and medical advice opening. Hundreds of thousands will be infected, tens of thousands will be hospitalized and thousands will die, and tens of thousands will be left will suffer permanent or long term “Long Covid” effects. On the plus side, ravers can rave and the rich policitians and their friends can travel and infect other countries.
Are you going to be back on comments and admit that you were completely wrong about this statement in a few months? If I thought you were kidding it would be a really funny post.
u sure about 2023???….covid will be still be around and so will our spineless mla’s…
I still feel like we are living on Gilligan’s Island. The only problem is none of the members of PACT seem to be as sharp as Gilligan, Skipper, The Professor, Mary Ann, Ginger, or Mr. & Mrs. Howell. And how long did it take them to get off that island?
More like the TV Show Lost. The plane went down in March 2020 and we’ll been in purgatory forever more!
Chipping away at the additional 7,000 first doses Panton says are needed to slightly open. By summer 2022, hoping we have four flights a week on Cayman Airways.
(This clearly is farcical. 7 jabs per hour. Glad we have thousands more doses arriving on BA next week!).
What next?
Does it matter if it is 64% or 69% or 70%? The goal post will move again shortly. Should be opened to all to travel in an out if vaccinated without any quarantine period.
BVI?
What about BVI? They have barely given any vaccines. Everyone knows unvaccinated persons are at risk. We are highly highly vaccinated as a % of total population and almost all of older age groups are at WAAAAAAY about 70% vaccinated.
Look at the countries that are successfully open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only country that has successfully opened without a disaster is Gibraltar which opened once they got to a 95% vaccination uptake.
They don’t have kids there?
They don’t count those who can’t be vaccinated currently, unlike the cowards we have here.
The US is opening up without disaster…
Under 35% vaccinated so not relevant.
U.K.?
6:50 no one wants to look at the facts, doesn’t suit their agenda
Dr. Lee. How can tens of thousands of maskless people attend sporting events in England?
On a work permit. Or a civil servant. Or a healthcare worker. Or a frontline worker. Or a tourism worker. Or a stipend recipient. Or an educator.
Limiting mandatory vaccination to work permit holders only risks disaffection and makes little sense from a medical perspective.
They already got it honey. We don’t.
So they’re done?
Wait 10-20 days and see what England looks like. Covid is back to doubling every 10 days – the UK is heading for a self-inflicted disaster – off the field.
If nothing happens in 10-20 days will you admit you are wrong?
Sure – if you will admit that I am right when the Delta virus infects 50K or more in the next 20 days
10.14am – will you admit you are wrong when 50k people have the delta variant and the hospitals aren’t overwhelmed and nothing out of the ordinary has happened? Kind of like the entire pandemic where there was never overrun hospitals. Have you admitted that you were wrong this entire time?
So far I have been 100% right – unlike those who have said from the beginning that Covid is a myth or that it is no worse than the flu or that it will be over next week or in a month or any other nonsense. BTW – What percentage death rate are you prepared to accept while still claiming to be right?
You asking this Dr. Lee?
https://caymannewsservice.com/2021/02/cannabis-raid-on-doctors-express-ruled-illegal/
Or a different one?
Another experiment, the results in two weeks.
Because the idiots have no regards for the welfare of the most vulnerable, and they are allowed to get away with it by a stupid Government!
The most vulnerable are already vaccinated.
Open up!
Shut up!
NOW!!!
Stay closed. I like my safety. Health over money.
Especially when it’s not your money or income, right?
It is my health (and yours).
