Tourists who accidentally bring in a bullet should get a free pass 1st time offense. They aren’t criminals & bring $ money to the island. It should be a 1st time civil infraction for inadvertent import. Be kind to tourists. 🙂

I knew this guy when he was in his early 20s. He was soft spoken, well mannered, humble and very respectful. I wonder what compelled him to own an unlicensed handgun? Did he feel threatened or was he mixed up with bad people? Sad that he threw away a positive potential. I hope he can turn things around after serving his penance.

Ofc, there is a thriving illicit vocation that coincides with needing that small rapid firing prohibited sidearm for protection…yet no collected evidence or charges on that? Dunce DPP strikes again. It’s like the RCIPS and DPP want to conceal and preserve the dark transshipment economy at all costs. Wrap on knuckles for gun possession, no further questions, and out in 3 years…if it’s not a mistrial. A suspicious percentage of those too.

Just to be clear: there are no licenses for semi-automatic pistols to be had. No such licensing category exists. Our cops don’t have access to those. Most of the constabulary still aren’t allowed to carry normally firing guns or wear vests to protect themselves while on duty.

Err semi-automatic does mean one shot per trigger pull. I think you are referring to fully automatic, meaning rounds discharge from the weapon for as long as you keep the trigger depressed or until the magazine is empty. I think you’ll find most licensed hand gun owners have the former semi-automatic type of firearm. The Firearm Response Unit may however use fully automatic rifles.
