Anti-corruption cops make mystery arrest
(CNS): The Anti-Corruption Commission’s investigators have arrested a 47-year-old man from George Town on suspicion of committing the offences of secret commissions and money laundering. The unidentified man was arrested Thursday morning and is currently in police custody at the Fairbanks detention centre as the inquiry continues, officials said. No other details of the arrest by the corruption cops has been revealed but it appears that the individual is not a civil servant.
The allegation of secret commissions is contrary to section 21 of the Anti-Corruption Law, which appears to refer to indirect or direct bribes that can occur between non-public officials in the private sector.

Phew, it wasn’t me. (Getting all Shaggy on you.)
Not sure if it’s related to FIFA/CIFA but you can be sure that Jeff Webb’s latest stay in sentencing has its rewards to him and fall-out for others locally!
Secret commissions requires a benefactor and at least one receiving party…ie at least 2 parties…more arrests ought to follow if that’s the charge.
More than likely he’s a tax evader from the us that is trying to use this place like many others to commit their white collar crimes in the banking industry!..
Wonder if any of the CIFA people?
That’s the word on the street.
Wow! Any relation to FIFA
Check who is 47 and big player at CIFA.Coincidence?
Seems like bribery is common these days.
Well, that’s a big relief, he’s not a civil servant!, maybe it won’t take 2 or 3 years tp prosecute him then.
2 or 3 years of paid leave!
2 to 3 years to bring a charge you mean (*cough* Linda Evans!)
