Governor broke ribs in wet floor slip
(CNS): Officials have revealed a little more detail about the injuries the governor sustained at the weekend when she slipped on a wet floor. Her office said that Helen Kilpatrick was discharged from the George Town hospital on Thursday following treatment for collapsed lungs and four broken ribs. As she is not fit for work yet and will require further medical treatment, Deputy Governor Franz Manderson will continue holding the fort.
According to a release from government, the paramedics responded to Government House although they still did not say where the accident happened, and took the governor to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town, where she was treated.
Kilpatrick thanked the paramedics and expressed her “sincere gratitude for the caring and professional treatment that she received from all the staff at the Critical Care Unit at George Town Hospital” following the accident.

Why do some folks have to be so disrespectful? We are talking about our governor, please show some respect. Remember, to earn respect, you have to show respect!! Maybe that is what is wrong, we have to show our youths to have respect, instead of disrespect!! Hoping that our governer, Ms. Helen Kilpatrick, have a speedy and painless recovery.
Don’t fret, I’m sure the factual recollection of exactly what happened will be written soon. The fake news can’t be far behind. Nice one mentioning her wonderful care at the hospital. I mean of course they are going to treat her with kindness, skill and compassion – she’s the governor and able to literally influence whether or not they have jobs. The rest of us common folk are left to wait 6 hours to see a doctor and then get one with as little sympathy or bed side manner as Hitler. But nice try gov, I see what you (almost) did there.
Its interesting how the actual state of repair or décor or condition or even look of the governors house is never really questioned or spoken of….I mean we are paying for it aren’t we?

I’m pretty sure anyone coming in with several fractured ribs and a collapsed lung would not have to wait. People are kept waiting so long because anyone who gets a cough, sniffle, or needs a sick note for work shows up at the emergency room clogging up the whole system. There are only so many beds in there. Do the math. Your gonna have to wait. But here’s an idea. If your not dying go the the clinic. That’s what they are there for. Duhhhhhhh

Yes I am serious. This shows the DG has to stand in for the Governor and the Governor’s role is to protect the national interest (i.e. British interests) over local issues. Having someone who is not a Brit undermines that aspect of the DG’s role, which is the most important aspect.

My sympathies to the Governor for what appears to be quite a serious and painful accident. However I am puzzled at the lack of information, for a lady in the limelight, why be so secretive.
