(CNS): Three men who were arrested in North Side in the early hours of Sunday morning have now been charged with drug and firearms offences.  The men appeared in Summary Court Tuesday when two of the men, aged 25 and 27, were remanded in custody and the third, a 61-year-old man, was bailed to return to court later this month.

Police have also revealed that the 25-year-old man is currently assisting them with their enquiries into the 2011 murders of Robert Mackford Bush and Preston Rivers, who were both killed in a series of tit-for-tat gang-related shootings in West Bay in 2011. The police said Monday that the man who was arrested in North Side on Sunday in connection with the drugs and firearms charges and later arrested in connection with the two murders had left the jurisdiction in the wake of those September 2011 shootings.
