(CNS): Two visiting foreign nationals who were rounded up by police earlier this year have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the local banking system with cloned credit cards. Adam Makdad (21) and Hakim Benomara (25), who appeared in court Friday, have been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced on 9 June.

(CNS): The police are once again warning people to be careful about emails that refer to banking activity after more victims fell for online scams. The RCIPS Financial Crimes Unit (FCU) said the public should be suspicious of any instructions received by email purporting to be from banking institutions or individuals known to them talking about personal or business banking issues.
