West Bay kicks off early voting
(CNS): Around 150 people in the four West Bay constituencies were scheduled to cast their votes on Monday as the Elections Office kicked off its mobile service for voters who will not be able to get to the polls on General Election Day next month. Mobile voting is available to pre-approved electors through an application process, largely for those who will be working on the day or those who are unable to leave home for medical reasons.
Teams from the Elections Office were expected to poll 42 voters in West Bay North, 11 in West Bay West, 25 in West Bay South and 72 voters in West Bay Central.
“All our processes worked very well this morning to ensure election officials and agents were in place, ready to begin accepting votes at the prescribed times,” said Supervisor of Elections Wesley Howell. “Elections Office teams have all received the required training and I am confident we will see on Election Day the same level of professionalism, dedication and care as we’ve seen today.”
Over the course of this week the mobile teams will be active in the Bodden Town constituencies tomorrow and the George Town seats on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday the teams will, head out to North Side and East End.
Voters approved for home visits can expect the polling teams between 9am and 6pm, while those attending the mobile locations can do so between 9am and 1pm. The deadline for mobile voting applications is Tuesday, 6 April. The second round of mobile voting will be held on 8 and 9 April.

The bottom line is that people need to go to the polls to vote or not. Either that or give your vote to me so I can hand it in as a proxy.
