Malik Joseph McDonald

(CNS): The RCIPS is asking the public to help them track down Malik Joseph McDonald (26), who was last known to be living in George Town. He is wanted by the police for firearms offences and is known to be violent and believed to be armed and dangerous. McDonald is 5’6″ tall, of dark complexion and slim build.

Investigators are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or 911, especially if the circumstances are time-sensitive.

The public is also being reminded that it is an offence to obstruct, mislead or act in such a way as to prevent the apprehension of a person who has committed an offence. Anyone who is prosecuted for hiding a wanted person is liable on conviction to a fine of $5,000 or imprisonment for two years or both.

Used to teach this individual back in the day. He’s local, and always been a turd.

You sound like you should not be a teacher of any kind.

You sound like you think teachers are robots.

Nope. We teach everyone, future engineers, future business owners, future pioneers, but also future rapists, future murderers etc.

You ask any teacher, particularly at high school, there isn’t much character changing going on with some. This guy was a bully and his antics upset the learning of others. He was a turd.

He was arrested on gun charges in 2017, and also bailed on imitation gun charges with intent in June of last year. The public might ask how is this guy is walking around free and not already serving time in jail?

How many gun arrests do you have to have before you are denied bail and have to wait for trial sitting in jail? Police and judges need to get serious about the criminals.

We do need to get serious on gun crime. Tourists, millionaires and now technology industry professionals bring in loads of unlicensed ammunition and unregistered firearms into the Cayman island year after year, and walk away with not so much as a citation. Maybe this sends the wrong message about enforcement and influences our locals to break the law. Of course the is applied to them much differently.

Well, if the cops would enforce traffic violations I am sure when pulling people over they may find people like this or other offenses. Who are we kidding though, they still aren’t on the roads even though we have the worst drivers in the world.

Not quite the worst, not even in the top dozen. If we’re talking about the Caribbean only, I’d arbitrarily rank us as 6th worst drivers per capita. JMHO.

Agree with you that RCIPS aren’t as visible as we would like, even with the newer here-I-come-from-miles-away lighted up vehicles.

I would bet my last dollar that my Caymanian heritage goes back multiple generations further than yours. Go research Rayal Bodden (my immediate family, who helped build Elmslie, the post office, the Cimboco [no, not the restaurant] etc) and check how far back my Caymanian bloodline goes if you are at all genuinely interested. That’s not relevant at all though, and you clearly only brought it up as some sort of ridiculous defense mechanism; I assure you it isn’t only recent immigrants who think you’re a jackass for typing things like the original comment.

You’re right on one thing though: No, I don’t like “our” language when it consists of racist dog-whistles and self-defeating tropes. There is no indication at all that there is any “baby momma” involvement etc., and the fact is that you would have never typed out what you did if that was a picture of a wanted white person, and that needs to stop. Unna need to educate yourselves on how these throwaway “funny” statements continue to hold us down, so you can finally stop the self-loathing, stop the divisive foolishness, and stop tearing down our own people for some internet likes. It’s not too late to better yourself, and in turn help our Caymanian people move forward as a whole.

Ah yes, the age old “I’m more Caymanian than you” argument. Didn’t take long.

They asked where I was from and the implication was that I was a foreigner that didn’t like “[their] language”. Please either try to pay attention to the conversation or don’t take part in it.

dont need to be racist to suggest this comment. 26 year old, violent with firearm offenses. not likely they are holding down a steady accounting job and working on building a stable family life with their wife. More likely they have some young barfly girl maybe knocked up, but maybe not. Regardless of race, track their known close associates.

What is the problem? I don’t think white people invented the term baby mama, and if he has one, it’s the first place they need to look.
