Man apologises after admitting GBH charge
(CNS): Antonio Alejandro Stewart (22) from Bodden town apologised for his actions when he appeared in Grand Court on Friday via video link from HMP Northward and admitted causing GBH with intent during a fight that involved several other men outside a George Town bar last month. Stewart pleaded guilty to inflicting a serious head injury on another man outside the Sol a Luna bar on Sheddon Road in the early hours of 4 February.
As the court awaits the various reports ordered, a sentencing hearing was set for 28 April. Stewart applied for and was granted bail with curfew conditions, including a $2,000 surety to allow him to work in the meantime.

Admitting guilt puts him one step ahead of politicians and FIFA folk.
Not saying this is/isn’t the case in this instance – but what if this was a self-defense situation?
Would you all like for him to go straight to jail for defending himself then too, or… ?
This is why trials happen dear hearts. Be patient, and stop overreacting. Let the courts do their job.
Well, he has pleaded guilty, so there is that.
It would be nice to know which judges granted bail in all these cases. It seems to make a difference.
Ah boy Tonio.. do ya time & try to turn your life around..
He inflicted a serious head injury and he’s pled good. There surely can’t be any quest he’s going to prison, so why is he on bail pending sentencing?
Sorry seems to be the hardest word…until caught doing something bad.
Unfortunately, this needs a deterrent sentence. Way too many people here think that it’s acceptable to promote violence as an option. They eff around, get found out, then we have these kinds of situations. Everyone is a gangster until someone gets their head split open and nearly dies.
