Daily positive cases of COVID-19 still falling
(CNS): According to the latest information from Public Health, the number of new cases of COVID-19 is still dropping, with just 63 people reporting positive tests yesterday, including four people on the Sister Islands.
The number of people in quarantine as a result of the virus has also fallen to an estimate of 1,527. Ten patients are in hospital due to COVID-related causes, eight of whom are unvaccinated and one is partially vaccinated.

The weekly report from Public Health states as of 23rd February the estimated active cases are 1366 but on worldometers.info website the Cayman Islands are listed as having 10803 active cases.

If you can provide a link to that report I would be most grateful, as I can’t find it anywhere.
On January 12 government stated: The number of reported active cases stood at 3,585 with 3,334 of those being linked to community transmission.

In the six weeks since that press release government has generated weekly reports that now extend to 8 pages of glossy misdirection and obfuscation, but not once have they said this is the number (estimated or otherwise) of people in Cayman that are covid-positive.
This is a government that takes every opportunity to state they are TRANSPARENT, plus the other three things that everyone is beginning to doubt, yet they steadfastly refuse to tell the people of Cayman the one simple thing they want to know; “How many people in Cayman have Covid?”.
If they hide the little things, what do you think they are doing with the really important stuff?

Think Cayman is one of the very few places left that require exit PCR.
Exit PCR results on 7th day took 6hrs, which is pretty fast. The 7th day is often before some people are ready to LFT clear. Still, Public Health will allow low positives out. It’s not onerous to follow the rules anymore, and you get a verified positive travel certificate which works like an immunisation document for international travel – good for 6 months.
