Two boats with ten Cubans arrive in Cayman Brac
(CNS): Ten more migrants have arrived in the Cayman Islands, Customs and Border Control has confirmed. Two boats carrying the Cuban men arrived in Cayman Brac around 9:10 on Tuesday morning. All ten have disembarked both vessels and are being processed in accordance with CBC’s established protocols. Once that is completed, they will be transported to Grand Cayman where they join more than 180 migrants currently held either in immigration centres or in the community, as they wait for the outcome of their asylum claims. If these are refused, they will be repatriated to Cuba.

Cubans need to go home plain and simple too many here now ! Already creating serious crime issues here now that the authorities are simply unable to cope with.
6.46am It’s not Cubans creating serious crime issues and general lawlessness. You should be more worried about the thousands of Jamaicans ruining our way of life. A moratorium needs to be put on W/Permits from there and P/R and Status also.
If you are saying send them back and do not use government funds on Cubans… you forget that white and blacks live off of the system and do not care. I get Miami is filled with Cubans but I bet you will not see a homeless Cuban because they are working and doing what they could not do in Cuba. There is no food, no water, no electricity, no health care, and all you get is a piece of bread and a cup of rice a week if you are lucky.
8:39 You will not see a homeless cuban in Miami? Are you joking? Take a walk through downtown Miami before posting a lie. I’m from Miami, for your information.
4:41 pm Less money spent on Cubans would be more money the Govt could give the old pensioners and old seamen. Do you think Cuba would help Cayman if Cayman was hit with a big huricae ? If one wants to go live in another Country first learn that country language, like the Asian people do. Thank you sir about more money for old pensioners and seamen.

8:39 pm, have you ever made a mistake while texting ?
You know, one can justify pretty much everything. Your mother didn’t instill in you basic compassion to those who are less fortunate. All I can say – shame on you.
Karma never fails to deliver its justice. Be careful what you say. You might get it, wanted or unwanted.
434- You should support them all with your pay. The government doesn’t have unlimited money. It only has what’s collected from those who participate and contribute to the system. Freeloaders will eventually destroy the system.
How great it is to live in a system with “free healthcare” and “free education”, why would they ever want to leave such a great system?
7:22 Believe me, the USA doesn’t send them back easily which is why Miami is such a zoo. I hope Cayman can avoid becoming the same. Send them back now!!!!
Why the U S A can send them back in few days and here takes years ? On us tax/duty paying people. This is the month of the old people, but the Govt have not gave the old retired people and old Seamen nothing, not even a 50 $ raise on they small pension. But they spending hundred of thousands $ on Cubans. why, why ??
Have a mercy and count your blessings. Cuba was just ravaged by Ian. It asked the US for help. The #1 priority for the US is you know what and who.
Cubans stay home and work hard to make your country a neyyer place. And if you want to leave have respect and learn English first before you leave
You seem to forgot that hurricane Ian that just wreaked havoc in Cuba could have done the same or even worse to us. What if we were spared to be able to help the Cubans. We tout ourselves of having a Christian country – the Bible that Christians read tells us to take care of strangers among us who are in need. They venture out on these rafts and unsafe boats to be able to get some semblance of decent living and prosperity. Give thanks that we are so fortunate.
You cant do that…..There is no way to make the country a newer place. People do not understand what it is like to have NOTHING.
You will find yourself in Haiti in your next reincarnation.
It has to do with our relationship and agreements with Cuba. We have to negotiate a repatriation upon which Cuba often drags its feet. The U.S. is a superpower which just ships them back; they don’t care about agreements.
I think your correlation between monies spent upon Cubans and elderly pensions are completely off-base. I want you to know that I also believe that the elderly pensions are completely inadequate — particularly those of the Seamen — however that has nothing to do with the Cubans.
