GT man charged after holding baby hostage

(CNS): A 39-year-old-man from George Town has been charged with child cruelty and threats to kill and is expected to appear in court today (Thursday). He was arrested on Monday following a serious violent incident at a home in the Rock Hole area in which he held a baby hostage. The man threatened to harm the child when the police arrived at the location after he had reportedly assaulted two woman.

Police said they had attempted to negotiate with him but in the end armed officers shot him with a Taser gun to bring him into custody and rescue the baby.
