accident(CNS): Police are on the hunt for a joyriding thief who ran off after causing a three vehicle crash yesterday morning in Bodden Town. An RCIPS spokesperson said the pile-up happened at about 9:45 Wednesday morning near Beach Bay Road, when the stolen motorbike was traveling east at a fast speed. The joyrider collided with the vehicle in front of it and then crashed into another car traveling in the opposite direction.

The motorcycle was extensively damaged but police said the rider left the scene before they arrived and there were no details regarding whether or not the thief was hurt.

The driver of the second vehicle that struck a tree received minor injuries and traffic was affected for around two hours.

The motorbike had been reported stolen from a Bodden Town residence the day before and both the accident and theft are under investigation by officers at the Bodden Town Police Station.
