(CNS): All of the 50 candidates who were nominated on Monday have been given the green light by the Elections Office to run, confirming that all of them meet the qualifying criteria. This means that all 19 seats are being contested. Election officials said that due diligence checks revealed that all candidates met the qualifications in section 61 of the Cayman Islands Constitution.

They have met the election office criteria but very few have met the moral high standard criteria where some are neither qualified to run this Island or clearly unfit to manage a outhouse! What a bunch of greedy Corrupt no good suckers we have elected now want us to elect their cohorts too!

More should be done by this office to continually remind votors to keep their address updated. The possible result of not doing so should be front and centre on every quarterly registration reminder.

Someone should remind the candidates to keep their address updated. Some haven’t lived where they are registered to vote for years.
