Stalker offers cash to women for sexual favours
(CNS): The police are on the lookout for a man who has been sexually harassing women walking home from work in George Town, offering them money in exchange for sex. The man was said to have approached three different women on three separate occasions in the evenings at around 7pm last month. The three incidents occurred either in the area of Dr Roy’s Drive or Grackle Road. In two of them, the driver approached a woman walking alone. On the third, he approached a woman walking with a friend.
In each case, the women were approached by a driver in an undisclosed type of vehicle wearing a black balaclava and black hoodie. The man behind the wheel engaged the women, proposing to pay them a sum of money in exchange for a sexual act. When the woman refused, he drove away.
The news of these incidents comes just as the government is beginning a consultation process on a new sexual harassment law that would better protect women from this type of crime, which is far from uncommon.
The latest incidents are under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222. Anonymous tips can be provided to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777 or the website.

This sexual harassment law could provide an open door for many frivolous and vindictive ‘Karens’ and ‘Kevins,’ to fabricate illegitimate claims of sexual harassment just for sake of presenting a complaint and gaining unwarranted attention for themselves!
I’m not saying that all complaints will be false, but a great deal of them will be a waste of time to properly investigate as most will be a He said, She said situation, with little to no evidence. This law could also be used as a weapon if persons are falsely accused of such acts and unfairly prosecuted.
Governments focus instead should be on implementing an official sex offender registry to protect Caymans vulnerable children from convicts and known pedophiles.
An official sex offender registry is far more important and long overdue. Question remains why our Government purposely ignores such fact.
On the plus side, at least he wasn’t physically assaulting them or trying to sell them crack.
Is he a security guard?
How much is he offering?
not enough
That’s a completely inappropriate thing to say.
i could use a little extra
Al Catraz – 0.50 CI. Would that satisfy your needs?
Over a year ago I was approached when I was walking my dog in the early morning in South Sound. The driver pulled alongside me and was masterbating in the car. He followed me for some time until I was able to alert a security guard at one of the complexes. The police were given a statement and the registration plate of the car.
Still, a year on, I don’t believe anything has happened
masterbating?
Driving and masturbating is a sign of great coordination. But yet a sick mind.
4:01 – yes, if you can do that, please put it on your CV!
If you read about a woman being sexually harassed and the only thing that you decide to comment on is the spelling I think that says quite a lot about you
Not the master of his domain
Soon come waiting for his rollover and then they will tell you he has left the island! the RCIPS are full of Jamaicans that are simply not going to prosecute their own full stop been noticing traffic court recently only Caymanians are being prosecuted.
And it never will.
Typical of the RCIP. Robust and effective enforcement escapes them. Right down to illegally tinted windows in car parks all around them.
i an very surprised this does not happen to me more often.
it does happen more often. I am 32, and was swimming in Smith Cove on my day off, a teenager, yes, a teenager did try to woo me with thinly veiled intentions. He was persistent.
It is a criminal offence to “insult the modesty of a woman” and those who do should face the full extent of the law.
Sure, but where is that law?
Ie. the enforcement officer?
@11:14 – 133. A person who, with intent to insult the modesty of any woman, utters any
word, makes any sound or gesture or exhibits any object intending that such word
or sound shall be heard, or that such gesture or object shall be seen by such
woman, or intrudes upon the privacy of such woman, commits an offence and is
liable to imprisonment for three years.
What about the modesty of man? Get with the times.
There is no law against insulting the modesty of a man!
hard to do when they are hooting and whistling at women all day.
What a low-life. Clearly not too intelligent. Should be easier to catch than an intelligent sociopath, at least in theory, by “competent” RCIPS officers.
Men need to protect and respect women, as well as other vulnerable classes of persons. This guy, as a man, does not appear to understand his duties.
If we legalize prostitution this would not happen.
Prostitution is, in fact, legal in Cayman
In Cabinet anyway.
who is down voting it? it’s true. Pimping is illegal, but prostitution isn’t.
Surely the public cannot be expected to be on the lookout for an “undisclosed vehicle”. So, this was just a warning note to the deviant perp. What does it say that the RCIPS default instinct is to protect and warn the male sexual predators, instead of catching them!?! Green light to rapists, muggers, and everyone else: the RCIPS remain determined not to show up.
I am going to assume the undisclosed vehicle is a police car. unless you got something better?
CNS I think a correction is needed on one of the streets. Dr. Roy’s Drive and Grackle do not connect.
CNS: I’ve reworded it slightly so it makes more sense. The exact wording in the RCIPS report is: “The incidents occurred in the vicinity of Dr. Roys Drive and Grackle Road.”
Treat women nice and love them. They have feelings too.
