(CNS): The police are investigating a commercial burglary in the early hours of Monday morning and are seeking witnesses and information, although they have refused to say exactly where it took place. According to a press release, the break-in happened at an undisclosed business on the West Bay Road in George Town sometime before 8:00am, when staff reported it to the police.

A safe containing cash was stolen, and the burglars ransacked the office space at the mystery business.

The RCIPS also urged business owners to take precautions to ensure that their properties are secure.

Crime prevention tips for businesses are posted on the RCIPS website.

Police said they could not give any more information about this particular burglary “at this stage due to the active investigation” but asked anyone with information to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.

Anonymous tips can be provided to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, or the website. Tips can also be submitted anonymously via the Cayman Crime Stoppers website.

The question is did you see something and is the something you saw something which maybe the something we are interested in finding out whether you saw something about. If you didn’t see something or you saw something that’s not the something we are wanting to know whether you saw something or not, then that is obviously something else. Is that clear enough?

I think everybody has come to the realization that the police farce here have no interest in solving crime, only doing road stops and handing out tickets close to Christmas to fill their quotas. Operation “Winter______” from Nov-Feb 🤡

Many police forces of the world have alienated themselves from the citizens they claim to serve.
Why? Because they are just as corrupt as the criminals they claim they want to apprehend.
A uniform makes a dishonest person good as much as perfume makes a pig attractive. Pun intended.
When someone good gets elected, we’ll flush these masons out and return to good old-fashioned values.

Police: “Hi, have you seen the thing”
    Me: “What thing?”
    Police: ” I can’t say definitively”
Me: “Well, how do I know if i’ve seen it?”
    Police: “Oh, you will know…”
    Me: …….
Police: “You’re under arrest…But first let me ask someone else why…”

I witnessed something, but I’m not going to tell you what. Nor am I going to tell you who I am. I hope that helps.

For Pete’s sake…give the police a chance to do their tedious work in identifying and apprehending the culprits.
CCTV, interviews, leads follow ups , all take time to ensure that those arrested can be proven guilty.

Then don’t ask the public for help. How can anyone provide information if hey don’t know the location? I was on west bay road but have no clue if it’s near the public beach or at KFC.

Are we supposed to be impressed by their willingness to openly add this one to their mountain of unsolved RCIPS who dunnits? The logic path is so dysfunctionally odd.

Don’t confuse the perhaps lackluster work of the traffic police , with the investigative efforts of the detectives.

So if the latter are so good why do we have such appalling conviction rates? Why do so many cases fall in court due to evidential deficiencies? Paired with useless CPS that leaves us in serious trouble.

The City of George Town, or the District of George Town? West Bay Road is actually called South Church Street in the “big city”.
