(CNS): The Cayman Islands Fire Service successfully tackled a small fire at the Fairbanks Customs and Border Control Service Detention Center in George Town on Friday lunchtime. The Cuban migrants who are being held at the centre were all evacuated from the building while the fire crews extinguished the blaze. No one was injured.

CBC officials said they suspect arson, and the matter has been referred to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service for investigation. They said further updates will be issued as the investigation continues.
