Dr Lee ‘stars’ in rapid home test demo
(CNS): Chief Medical Officer Dr John Lee has released a video demonstrating how to use the rapid home test kits for COVID-19, which are expected to become available to the public next week. Government is currently working on regulations surrounding the use of the lateral flow tests, which will reduce the number of people forced into quarantine as a result of community transmission. As a first step, the tests will be deployed in schools to help them manage cases and ensure that students who are not positive can stay in class, even where some students are infected.
Government is expected to reveal the details of how the home tests will be used and monitored at the press briefing on Thursday.
But with the expectation that they will soon be used very widely, the video below shows just how easy they are to use.

Prefer this video to the Hon Minister for Tourism’s rank effort. At least this one is believable.
These tests are ridiculously easy to use. No need for all the theatrics around them.
Import. Sell. Use. Resume some normalcy like the the rest of the world. We’re tired of this nonstop coverage and restrictions.
Dr. Lee, when are you and Charles Clifford and the Attorney General going to issue official apologies for the unlawful conduct inflicted on a Caymanian business?
Dr Lee has starred since March 2020 – the only respectable voice throughout. The rest not so much.
This is partially excellent news! Open the borders and stop this only for Caymanians and residents. If you want tourism, open the border. If you don’t want tourism, stop playing games and just announce that the island is permanently closed.
All or nothing, right? ‘fraid life don’t work like that. It’s a bit more nuanced, you see? Obviously not
The Islands are not closed you just have to follow the public health protection protocols.
Follow the Science not the Money.
Why aren’t the panel, governor premier and sabrina not masked during the broadcast???? they are indoors yet not masked….
Oh please. The rules are the same in every office and every restaurant… masked when walking around, unmasked seated. Not aware of any other country except Cayman requiring masks now anyway.
Which makes no sense
Rules don’t apply to them.
This is excellent news!
