CBC and police track down suspected fraudster

(CNS) UPDATED: Kenneth Emeka Ajana (50), a Nigerian national who was wanted in relation to various allegations of fraud, has been taken into custody. Following an appeal to the public Monday, police said that border control officers, with the help of the RCIPS, tracked him down Tuesday. Ajana reportedly arrived in Cayman on Thursday, 23 May, but police have not revealed where he is wanted or where his alleged crimes were committed.

    These Nigerian scammers may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, after all, they only need to be one little bit smarter than the person that they are scamming; but I would bet they are smart enough not to use the same identification for travel that they use for scamming. Kenneth Emeka Ajana is probably a name used by more than one person, and the real person (should he exist) may or may not resemble the person in the picture.

    How on earth did this man get a Visa to enter the country? What address did he enter on the Immigration form, and was he asked how he could support himself whilst here? It is a disgrace. Nigeria is the home of many Internet scams, that are giving that country, sadly, a very bad name.
