you are a real XXXXXX
Why would you even comment something like that
what if the driver was YOU???????????
For the people who say “everyone makes mistakes”. If this person had slowed down to a safe speed for rain conditions. And followed the rules of the road. There is no way they could have hit a pole.
it’s just that simple
You do not just go around randomly hitting poles because of rain.
Hit a pole in rain suspend license a month should do it.
DART moved the road again
I think we all should be able to learn from other people who make these kind of mistakes . I wish the victim a speedy recovery , and we learn the lesson from all the scenarios. that could have caused this accident . See all the other comments.
It was a blinding rain at the time of the accident. Drivers have to take more caution when the rain is coming down as hard as it was at that time. I pray the driver will make a full recovery.
I’m sure we have more drivers run into lightpoles than any other place on earth on a per capita basis.
What is the condition of the pilot? Was their blood tested at hospital? and will they be arrested and face dangerous/reckless driving charges?
Pilot? Did the car have wings because the driver nearly did?
Wow its amazing how people can be so negative!!!!! for the love of God this is another serious incident that happened on our island, Passing Judgement and mocking this issue is ridiculous. This is possibly another life that can lost.
EVERYONE and i repeat EVERYONE makes mistakes, makes stupid choices in life, but to be commenting and being so inhumane is not right, A family has to suffer and go through a tough time at this moment, instead of passing judgement, stop and think! this could have been YOU, YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, YOUR CHILD!
Circumstances is unknown at the moment, many different factors could have taken place, and if so speeding was the main factor, yes that was not a good choice, but he’s still HUMAN.
That person may have a family of their own, children that have to go through a difficult time now not knowing the unknown.
Perhaps everyone is just sick of these junk little Civics and Accords playing at racing?
it amazing how people have such a bold time criticizing anyone, this is a very serious and life threatening incident. I am 100% sure if this was your family member or even a close family member the negative comments would not be appreciated. EVERYONE makes mistakes, make wrong choices. that’s whats wrong with people in our island, quick to pass judgement.
Stop with the negativity! and damn assumptions, reasons for this incident is unknown as for now, a lot of different factors could have taken place! It’s so easy to turn a blind eye and not feel sympathy for someone that has no connection to you are your family, but at the end of the day that person is someones family member, care giver and most of all HUMAN.
Yes, everyone does make mistakes and I hope this person recovers. However, people of cayman are getting sick of idiots on the road which is why there are so many negative comments on here. Luckily, nobody else was injured, but there are so many times when this is not the case and poor innocent people are killed because of speeding or drunks behind the wheel. Cast your mind back to the crash at East End when 3 tourists were killed because of a nutter. It’s not fair that lives are whisked away for what? We dont know the full story of this crash, but unless there was a fault with the car or the driver had a medical condition the likelihood they were speeding or drunk is very high. When will people learn they are not immortal! It can and will happen to you if you do not follow the rules of the road. Again, I hope this person recovers and the police get to the bottom of why it happened.
Another type r driver thinking they are invisible. Speeding in a front wheel drive car in the rain is obviously an intelligent thing to do.
I believe the word you were looking for was invincible, a little different from being invisible.
Autocorrect
How do you lose control of a civic on a straight road?
Perhaps weaving in and out of traffic at speed on obviously wet road conditions. That would do it.
Cut the springs to lower it and voila – a car that can’t even drive straight at speed…
Would guess driving too fast in the wet
These poles are always driving crazy and crashing into cars.
lmfaoooo troll
Need rubber poles and rubber cars. Bumper cars?
Dedicated drunk driver lanes is the way to go.
