The lower the percentage of Caymanians that make up the residency of the Cayman Islands, the higher the rate of societal deterioration.

If this is progress then please take back your “higher GDP”, expansion of industries, gated communities, “development”, prime real estate, luxury goods and overpriced retailers. We have tipped the scale and are currently regressing.

Seriously. I will happily embrace a return to the reality of 1996 Cayman.

I have lived my entire life in the most dangerous state in America (#1 according to media and statistics). Never ever I felt unsafe or was afraid for my life or property or sleeping with open windows. Here, on 75.68 mi² island with population of 52,000 one have to think twice before going outside after dark, jogging, or keeping windows open.
Just 8 years ago things were so different.

That’s because you probly haven’t grown up in the poor areas of chicago such as the southside and westside but it seems you’ve been privilege to live in the rich suburbs where there’s hardly any crime.

Are we going to wait until somone is killed before we get tough on crime? 420 cops, cameras all over the place & a chopper for 60k people and yet it’s like the wild west around here!
I sincerely hope this new Commish lives up to the ‘Tough Irish cop’ reputation.

It would be easier for the public to assist the RCIPS if sketches and descriptions were provided with these “announcements”.

    • Tut Tut says:

HA! Ye, right. That would mean actual “cop work” being done.

I sincerely hope we all enjoy the good ol’ days we have left; as soon as there’s nothing left to suck out of this economy the U.K will shit us out for good!

THEN, we will really be the wild wild west!
