Ex-supermarket boss denies theft charges
(CNS): A 45-year-old American national has pleaded not guilty to two charges that relate to the theft of more than $35,000 from Kirk’s Supermarket, where he worked as a senior manager. Craig Gaskill denied two counts of obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception Wednesday when he appeared in court. He is accused of misusing the store’s business charge cards to buy his own groceries and lying about his qualifications to secure the general manager’s job.
He was bailed to appear in Grand Court on 10 June, but the court varied bail conditions to allow him to travel. Although the Summary Court determined on a previous occasion that he presented a flight risk, Gaskill’s passport was returned to him.
