(CNS): A local man rounded up by police Monday,  just one week after he was released from jail, is back at HMP Northward after he exposed himself to women who were exercising on the fields at the West Bay primary school (SJAC) early Monday morning. Caught by police on Fountain Road after the women reported the indecent act, Durney Ebanks (48) pleaded guilty after he was charged yesterday on three counts of indecent exposure and one count of being idle and disorderly and one count of indecent assault.

The man owned up to the offences when he appeared in Summary Court before Magistrate Valdis Foldats, who remanded him to Northward until 17 September, when he is expected to be sentenced. Ebanks was released just a week ago on probation.

Police confirmed, however, that Ebanks has not been charged in connection with other early morning sexual assaults that have been taking place in the district. Several women walking to work or exercising in the early morning hours in West Bay have made reports about another sexual offender who has been assaulting women from a bicycle. That suspect remains at large.

I do believe this is the first time that someone from West Bay, when confronted with irrefutable evidence, has readily admitted to the crime.

The struggle should be behind bars not out on the street; backwards round ya! Northward come in like a free-for-all….no wonder criminals don’t have no fear of being locked up!

I thought they caught the perp on the bicycle. What am I missing?

Just how many of these sexual predators are out there????

and there goes the efficiency of the parole board. more than half of the crimes has been perpetrated by people they released recently… adding numbers and calculating discounts does not make a parole board.

The accused person is well known throughout the West Bay district as being a very unstable person; so it’s not surprising to hear what he did.

For those of you who don’t know him, he needs to put into a “Mental Heath Facility” which is so lacking in the Cayman Islands.
