Cops charge suspect in weekend stabbing

(CNS): A 29-year-old George Town man has been charged with wounding with intent and grievous bodily harm following a violent incident at the weekend. The suspect is expected to appear in court Tuesday morning while his victim remains in the hospital recovering from multiple stab wounds. Although he was stabbed in the neck, police say his condition is not life threatening. The violent incident occurred in the Prospect area of George Town early Saturday morning.

Police said that at about 6:10am they responded to the report of a stabbing in Dogwood Drive.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident is urged to contact 949-4222 or Cayman Crime Stoppers to report this crime anonymously on 800 8477 (TIPS).
