(CNS): A 23-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to abduction, robbery and possession of an imitation firearm in connection with a car-jacking last September on Shedden Road, close to Mango Tree in George Town. Kenoi Smith is accused of forcing his victim into his car when armed with a gun in his waistband and making him drive to Walkers Road, where Smith is alleged to have left the man, who is from Savannah, on the side of the road after he took off in the stolen Chevy.

Smith is also accused of stealing two pairs of sunglasses, a wallet , two phones, two laptops, one calculator, CI$500 in cash and three credit cards from the car.

A police report at the time of the car-jacking said that the 31-year-old victim’s car was discovered later on the day of the abduction abandoned in School Road, George Town, with the keys in the ignition but the man’s possessions missing.

Following his denial of the crime, Smith was remanded in custody until the trial set for July
