Cops net smugglers carrying gun and drugs

(CNS): Two local men and a Jamaican national were charged with a number of offences after the RCIPS Joint Marine Unit intercepted a vessel off the coast of East End last Thursday. The RCIPS reported that officers on patrol aboard the Guardian came upon the boat drifting some twenty miles off the eastern end of Grand Cayman. With the three men on board the canoe was 197lbs of ganja, as well as a gun and 64 rounds of ammunition.
A man from West Bay (31), a man from George Town (34) and the Jamaican (33) were arrested on suspicion of importation, and the boat, drugs and weapon were seized.
The three men were all charged with drug trafficking and were expected to appear in court Monday. The George Town man was also charged with possessing ganja with intent to supply and other drug-related offences after a search warrant was executed at his house following the arrest of the smugglers, police said.

They kept the firearm even tho it’s a10 year stretch and dropping it over the side would have been simple? These boys so stupid it’s untrue.

Sounds like a good ole joke, a west bayer, towner and a jamaican on a canoe. One threw one off because why? ?
and this is why the ganja boats must always be a concern as this is a means of bringing in the guns and ammo that eventually cause havoc in our community…
Excellent job RCIPS! Keep up the good work! Only God knows how many lives have been saved by this boat being intercepted by RCIPS before reaching Cayman shore! I pray that every boat, plane donkey and vehicle will be intercepted by the law and any weapons and drugs or any other illegal materials will be confiscated and destroyed by law enforcement to prevent it from getting to our children/adults and to prevent any more lives being taken. Let us all be vigilant and report any suspicious activity as it could save even our own family lives from being lost!
