Cayman News Service(CNS): A 30-year-old man from George Town has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with a stabbing outside a bar in Seven Mile Shops on the West Bay Road in the early hours of Saturday morning. The 18-year-old victim remained in the Cayman Islands Hospital on Monday in stable condition after he was admitted and treated for a collapsed lung following the incident at Nectar Bar.

The accused man was arrested later on Saturday.

Police stated in a release Monday, after he was charged, that he is due to appear in court Tuesday. He is also facing charges of causing harassment, alarm or distress in connection with a separate incident in June. Police did not say if that related to the same victim or not.
