Teenagers arrested over Brac bar beating
(CNS): Police have arrested two boys, aged 16 and 18, in connection with a violent attack on a man in a bar in Cayman Brac last week. An RCIPS spokesperson said that the teenagers, who both live on the Brac, have since been bailed but officers in the Sister Islands expect to make more arrests regarding the assault. The man who was beaten by a gang of five young men in the Coral Isle bar off South Side Road West on Monday 17 October, is still receiving medical treatment for his injuries, police said.
Police said at the time of the crime that they were unaware of the motive. They are still looking for witnesses and anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact Sergeant Ferguson at the Cayman Brac Police Station on 916-6553.
