Boat captain rescues loggerhead turtle tangled in buoys
(CNS): The department of the environment has confirmed that an endangered loggerhead turtle that was entangled in buoy markers over the weekend has been found and freed by Captain Hilton of Red Sail Sports who spotted the turtle following the DOE’s SOS message on Sunday and was able to approach it and cut it free.
Safety campaign aimed at deterring crime & crashes
(CNS): The RCIPS has launched its 2024 Holiday Safety Operation “Winter Guardian” with the aim of deterring crime and cut the worryingly high collisions on the roads. Police will intensify road enforcement operations and increase community foot and high visibility mobile patrols across the Islands.

PPM unveils first of its new 2025 election candidates
