Canadian mail workers’ strike hits holiday post
(CNS): The Cayman Islands Postal Service (CIPS) has said that Canada Post has temporarily suspended mail to and from the country due to the ongoing Canadian Union of Postal Workers strike. This will significantly impact mail service to and from the country over the holiday season. The CIPS will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
According to international media reports, negotiations between the Canada Post and the union have broken down. The union says it is bargaining for inflationary pay rises, better benefits and an agreement not to hire outside contractors. Meanwhile, Canada Post says it needs to have more flexible work hours and hire more temporary workers to move to seven-day delivery and be more competitive.

A tale as old as time. Canadians just don’t want to show up and work. They want 2 hour lunches even after coming in late, they’re always calling in sick on Monday, they leave half day on Friday, etc .
(am I doing this right?)
Sshhh. Don’t tell them about email.
Good luck emailing your packages, Skippy.
No one in their right mind still uses the postal service to mail packages, hoser.
ha…laughable stuff cips….they still on covid-go-slow mode…
