Cayman to bid formal final farewell to first DG
(CNS): The government has released the details of the official proceedings relating to the death of the country’s first deputy governor, Donovan Ebanks. The former head of the civil service died on Sunday, 2 June, at the age of 72, twelve years after he retired from the top job in administrative government. The formal national mourning period to honour his more than 37 years of public service began Thursday.
The lying-in-state at the House of Parliament in George Town begins Friday at 10:00am and ends at 1:00pm. The official memorial service will take place at the Clifton Hunter High School Auditorium on Saturday, 22 June, at 3:00pm. Livestreams will be available on Facebook, CIG YouTube and CIGTV channels.

Some of us will recall enduring the misfortune of having this man preside over Naturalisation Certificate Ceremonies where he saw fit to challenge each successful applicant and attending recipient as though he would have the final say on the matter. My memory is that both he and his office were not very gracious, or even polite.
You were becoming a Caymanian, wasn’t that enough for you? Since you are/ were so upset perhaps you should have refused it! It is not too late.
It seems he realized your true character and that you shouldn’t have been granted naturalization. I wish there were a way to revoke it because, with that attitude, you don’t deserve to be on this island with us.

Yes he is a member of the Caymanian Royalty. You are an obnoxious person. This is not a new thing, all of our esteemed deceased persons are respected this way. You do not have to go! You don’t have to “get it”
Maybe you should educate yourself on the protocols when saluting and appreciating persons such as Mr Donnie. He is one of few who is considered Caymanian royalty and should be honored
