Man seriously hurt in single-car smash
(CNS): A driver has been badly hurt and is currently in hospital after his vehicle collided with a tree in West Bay early Monday. Police said the car was the only vehicle involved in the crash, which happened around 1:45 this morning on Birch Tree Hill. The grey Honda Civic was very badly damaged and when emergency services arrived they had to remove the man, believed to be the driver, from the car before he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police said he was believed to have received serious but not life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.
The incident is under police investigation.
