Police on hunt for bald headed street robber

Rising crime in the Cayman Islands, Cayman News Service(CNS): Police are appealing for witnesses to a street robbery around 8:30pm on Friday on Sound Way in George Town. A man who was walking along the road was approached from behind by another man, assaulted and robbed of his wallet and other personal items. The mugger, who was described as a dark skinned slim man with a bald head, then fled the scene. He was said to be about 5’11” and was wearing a light coloured t-shirt and shorts.

Emergency personnel attended the scene and took the victim to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Anyone with information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between 8:30 and 9:00pm is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.

    More identifying information this time. I hope this means we’re getting the message across to RCIPS: let us help you by helping us with more details of the robber / robbery.

      You do realize the RCIPS can only give the description provided to them by witnesses/victims right? How detailed do you think those usually are?

      Puhlease. This is nothing new. Has been going on LONG time. They just never allowed it to be reported in public. Didn’t want people to realize how many thieves we have among us.
