Cayman News Service(CNS): The body of a 36-year-old woman who was reported missing last night was found this morning, 1 July, by staff at a hotel where she checked in yesterday. Police said that yesterday evening, 30 June, around 9:30pm they received a report from a family member of a missing woman, a resident of George Town, who had not been seen since yesterday afternoon.

Police officers made checks around the island at various locations last night, including hospitals, in an effort to find her, as well as notifying emergency services of the missing person report.

Early this morning police learned that the woman had checked into a hotel in East End. While they were on their way to the resort, officers were informed by hotel staff that her body had been found on the beach near the hotel.

While the cause of her death is still undetermined, police said they do not suspect foul play.

Update please. A woman was found dead next to my work. The police say no foul play but have not told us why they think that. Rumour is a suicide note but whatever the final story, my thoughts go out to the woman’s family

I thought more info would be forthcoming by now seeing this happened a few days ago. The report seems a bit scanty.
