Crash on North Church Street, Grand Cayman, 6 April 2016

(CNS): A teenager has been arrested in connection to a single-vehicle accident on North Church Street last Wednesday. The 16-year-old boy from George Town was arrested two days later, on Friday 8 April, on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and driving without being licensed, and is currently on police bail. Police reported after the incident that a white Honda Civic heading into central George Town veered across the street and ran into an abandoned house next to the Da Fish Shack restaurant.

The driver left the scene before police arrived.  The two passengers, both male juveniles, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, and were transported to Cayman Islands Hospital via ambulance.

Every one at JGHS knew who he was the very next day.

Why do you assume this boy goes to John Gray High School? Perhaps if you all would focus on the good instead of the bad, maybe you’re ignorant to the many smart kids in JGHS starting with the youngsters in Youth Parliament – FROM JOHN GRAY HIGH SCHOOL.

      People like you bug me!

        Was he from JGHS? Yes
Were the others from JGHS? Yes
I never said anything bad about the school.
I was implying that everyone there new who it was, why didn’t the police.

        As for youth parliament. Ha!
Our politicians are a joke so who are the youth parliamentarians trying to emulate?

If the young man was not licensed to drive a vehicle then who owned the vehicle that he destroyed? Was the car stolen? Did he have permission to take the vehicle? If so then the owner has a liability here.
