Jonathon Welcome

(CNS): Jonathan Welcome, who was arrested by police during an operation in Prospect last Friday morning, has been remanded in custody following a court appearance today. The 22-year-old Bodden Town man was arrested in connection with an incident where he pulled a gun on police in George Town in the early morning hours of 17 April. He has now been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to resist arrest and causing fear or provocation of violence. CNS understands that police have not recovered the weapon that Welcome brandished at two officers.

Police also arrested one 23-year-old woman and an underage girl on Friday when they located Welcome during the raid. They were both arrested for suspicion of accessory after the fact and they were both remanded in custody.

Police have not yet stated if either the girl or the woman were charged with any crimes or if they have been bailed.
