(CNS): Phase II of the project to replace the water main along Bodden Town Road will begin Monday 18 January, according to the Water Authority has said, which said the planned works are essential to upgrade the water infrastructure in the area to better serve people in Bodden Town. The authority said affected residences and businesses will be connected to a temporary service line to minimize interruptions in service while the pipeline project is underway.

The second and final phase of the pipeline project will affect Bodden Town Road from Gun Square Road to Manse Road and is expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete.

To facilitate these works, portions of Bodden Town Road will be restricted to traffic from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily, allowing for local access only. All other traffic will be diverted around the work area via Anton Bodden Drive. Traffic signs will be posted in the general vicinity and all motorists are asked to drive with caution to ensure their own safety as well as that of the Water Authority staff.

Thanking all those affected for their patience, the WA said it would strive to ensure access to local businesses is maintained throughout the project and that it was committed to completing water infrastructure works in a timely fashion with as little negative impact on its customers as possible.
