Seven Mile Beach,

(CNS): The RCIPS is trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the death of a 28-year-old Jamaican man, whose body was discovered by snorkellers on Sunday afternoon some 200 metres off the coast of Tiki Beach on Seven Mile Beach. Police said that investigators still do not know the cause of death or how long Westmore Walker, who was a resident in Cayman, had been in the water when he was found but there was no indication of any suspicious circumstances.

On Monday police said the last reported sighting of Walker was on Saturday morning but they continued to pursue lines of enquiry to see if he was seen earlier on Sunday. His clothes were found on the beach close to where his body was later discovered and his car was parked nearby.

The police said they expected a post-mortem to be conducted shortly to determine how Walker had died and how long he had been in the water.

The man is now the fifteenth person to die in local waters this year, in what has turned out to be a very dangerous year at sea.

There is always one idiot who has to troll marks of respect at the sad news of someone’s death. The kind of person who has no respect for someone’s family, no respect for the deceased, or thinks its funny. There are some really sick people around. Troller, I hope if you get sick or someone close to you passes, that you will begin to understand why that is not acceptable behavior.

Looks like we have a very sick troll on our hands my friend.

I agree with you 100%. This “troller” has obviously nothing better to do than to also click the Troll button over and over your message. It must be a very sad person indeed. I’m just waiting to see how many times he/she will “Troll” me!

1.34 and 2.17, indeed. Still whoever it is hides behind the cowards mask. Karma has a way with that. Good luck with that troller.

Condolences to the family. If you can’t swim or have an underlying medical condition, don’t go into Cayman Islands sea/ocean water.

While the underwater world is absolutely beautiful and relaxing, under such circumstances, it can be deadly. We have seen these unfortunate incidents not only this year, but so many times over the past years.

Know your limitations and please respect the ocean, as water is the most powerful force on earth.
