Cyclist robbed for $35 of groceries
(CNS): A 55-year-old local man was robbed at knifepoint of two bags of groceries worth just $35 on Saturday evening as he cycled along Birch Tree Hill Road. The cyclist was accosted at around 10:20pm by two men, one of whom was said to be armed with a nine-inch long butcher’s knife. Police said the robbers were known to the victim and when officers arrived they conducted a search and recovered some of the man’s goods.
The man was not hurt during the mugging and officers from West Bay police station are now conducting an investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the station at 649-3999 or CRIME STOPPERS at 800-8477 (TIPS)
He is lucky the two JW’s from concacaf did not get to him first. He would have lost his bicycle as well.
Where in Cayman did he manage to get two bags of groceries for $35?
When I go to any of the supermarkets here it usually cost $70 minimum for enough groceries to fill 1 bag…
CaymanKind strikes again…….
What do you mean by “CaymanKind”, anonymous? It’s just a simple question….patiently waiting on your response.
WESTBAY KIND!
Look at your old posts, you’ve got that the vibe.
Why would a man of 55 steal groceries? Because he’s hungry?
I think you may need to read this article over again..
The main who was 55 bought the groceries.. It doesn’t say what age the robbers were. Read the article before you post rubbish please…
It was a 55 year old man that was victim of theft not the perpetrator

CaymanKind
What does “CaymanKind” mean? Please explain.
You know. That special attitude and way of treating people, especially from other parts.
Not just people from other parts, look at how they treat their own kind.
Well, thank you all for explaining. However, there are many Caymanians who are great people, who treat all with respect and are understanding. I have experienced this many times over the last 30 years here.
I don’t think it’s fair to judge all because of a few bad apples; the entire population gets branded as “CaymanKind”, which ultimately means you are a selfish prick that only cares about yourself. It’s honestly, biased and a bit ignorant. Don’t you think?
It’s sad that all the Caymanians are getting labeled as such because honestly they are not all alike.
Cayman is still one of the nicest places in the world. Peace.
Disgusting! Rob a man’s groceries…..really pathetic!
