West Bay man denies having gun in BT Bar

(CNS): A West Bay man has denied being in possession of an illegal firearm at a bar in Bodden Town last month. Jose “Pito” Sanchez (28) pleaded not guilty last week to possession of an unlicensed firearm in connection with charges arising out of an arrest on 7 July. Sanchez is accused of having a nine-millimetre semi-automatic pistol at the Evaglow Bar on Bodden Town Road. Two other people are also involved in the case. No trial date has yet been set as the crown hopes to add the others to the charge sheet. Meanwhile, Sanchez was remanded in custody.
