East End man charged in machete assualt

Cayman News Service(CNS): Jamal Rankine (22) from East End was due to appear in court on Monday after he was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with a fight on a George Town beach in the early hours of Friday morning. Rankine is accused of chopping another man from East End with a machete in what was believed to be related to a domestic dispute. The incident, which happened on the beach front along Snooze Lane near George Town Villas, resulted in the 25-year-old victim being wounded with the machete in the face.
